Should You Join A Big MNC Or Startup For Your Next Job? Here Are 9 Things  You Should Know

Well these is one of the most debated topics of all times.

Should I join a MNC or is a StartUp better option for Software Engineers.

Well lets look at what are the pros and cons of working in a startup first -

Startup Pros and Cons - 

Pros -

1. Get chance to wear different hats and work on multiple technologies and leadership roles.

2. Fast growth to top level management of company.

3. Huge compensation in terms of company shares, stocks or partnership in long run.

4. Make a fortune out of it.

Cons - 

1. Chaotic ecosystem with no structure.

2. With great fortune also comes great risk.

3. Most startups fail and only a few make it.

4. Huge work pressure.


Now lets look at an MNC -

Pros -

1. Great workplace

2. Stable job with job security

3. Work with Fortune 100 Clients

4. Great portfolio and business exposure

5. See how a big machine like an MNC runs

6. Stocks also available sometimes

Cons -

1. Career stagnancy (some companies follow rotations to avoid this)

2. Cog in the wheel 

3. Less chance of getting to Top Level Management fast.
